2013

Florida Detroit Diesel Allison (FDDA) is acquired by Stewart & Stevenson. FDDA, a wholly owned subsidiary of S&S, is an authorized distributor of diesel engines with a strong presence in both the pleasure craft and commercial marine markets. FDDA has been in business for more than 50 years and has more than 250 employees in nine Florida locations.

2014

Stewart & Stevenson FDDA has been appointed an authorized power center for Volvo Penta, as announced in Maritime Executive on December 5, 2014. FDDA will provide parts and service support for Volvo Penta marine products from its Miami, Jacksonville and Fort Pierce locations and will be responsible for direct engine sales throughout Florida and the Bahamas.

2015

Stewart & Stevenson FDDA announced September 1, 2015 that it had acquired Palm Beach Power and made it a new S&S FDDA branch in West Palm Beach. This acquisition will facilitate our future growth and enable FDDA to better serve customers in West Palm Beach, the third largest county in Florida.  Palm Beach Power has been in business for 39 years and an FDDA dealer since 1989, and has an excellent reputation for marine service.

2016

The Panama City Branch is awarded Allison Gold Status, the top branch of all of Allison’s 59 Distributor locations, for the 5th consecutive year. The honor is based on Panama City having the highest customer service or PRP score.

In acknowledgement of their dedicated effort and outstanding achievement in the Performance Rewards Program, the Stewart and Stevenson FDDA Fort Lauderdale branch is recognized by Allison Transmission as their Most Improved Location for 2015.
